The lowdown: Royal owns the best showing of the year, taking down teams 2-3-6-8-10 head on and 7-9 in a power merge from Woodbridge.
Trabuco Hills closed the gap on Arcadia at Stanford compared to Woodbridge as Ryan Herson ran much, much better in the latter. Rancho
Cucamonga was the top performer at Mt. Carmel, but has a gap after its front end which could be challenged in deeper fields. Dana Hills
did its typically sluggish start the first two weeks of the season before giving it a more serious go at its own meet, including downing by safe
margin a good Poway team it lost to the weekend before by a decent margin. Corona has really shown well with young talent that has stepped
in to provide great support to a solid 1-2 punch. Marina, which was excellent but very young last year, is not surprisingly doing very well thus far,
including a strong Rated Race win at Woodbridge; three of top runners were ill heading into Bell-Jeff and did not run.
